Basically, there are 2 types of Market Research, Primary and Secondary. Primary research is the research you do yourself (or have done on your behalf) and secondary is research others have done and you are just analyzing it. Today we will talk about secondary research and where to find the resources for it. Secondary research is never as specific as primary research but it can be cheaper in most cases, accuracy traded for monetary savings. If you are doing everything yourself they can both be pretty expensive if you waste a ton of time on them. Secondary research can also cost money since data is valuable and not everyone lets you use it for free. This post includes an infographic with sources of free information you can access for doing your market research. Once you know the research question you will have an idea of what resources you need to use to answer it.
